Yeah right, not happening. I think the GMT will be left alone for a while, there is enough going on in that line right now. They will likely shift to a model that has not had recent updates or changes.

I would love to see more Oyster Flex options.

OP - I may be mistaken (someone here is sure to clarify) but my understanding was that the difficulty Rolex have in producing a true red on the BLRO is down to the way they create the colours on ceramics - I’ve heard all the bezels start as one colour and the darker colour is produced using a chemical transformation... (someone please step in to clear this up) seems to make sense as if you look at the blue and the red on the BLRO they both have slight hues of one another (or you could say they share some purple) I may be mistaken but I’d hope to think that seeding black over red would somehow be easier... (this is all guesswork)

As it happens I prefer the top one, which if they have difficulty producing a black in red if hope would be the outcome!!!

Great post

I believe that production has been fairly constant - it's always been difficult to buy a Submariner or Daytona. However, the greys have been acquiring all the sports models/ desirable models (even certain Datejust dial varieties) because they ultimately keep AD's in business by assuring them a certain volume of stock liquidity, so AD's can keep their Green & Gold signage. This has exacerbated the problem... and let's throw in the "fever" out in the market for these models, which I believe will play little influence on supply and prices, as it's currently cartel controlled by a strong distribution model that helps another distribution player stay in business.

It's another imperfection under a free market model.

I’d love a YG Explorer II with both black dial and white dial options. Any takers?

I actually believe that part of the story. Not sure we’ll see Coke though. I don’t buy any such rumors like that.

I am not surprised as most employees at AD's have an inside track on confidential Rolex information and Rolex always let's people know in advance.

Yes a Coke Tudor Black Bay seems a good bet.

When Tudor lead designer Ander Ugarte was asked what is his favourite Tudor watch released this year (at Basel 2018), Ander said his favourite watch (design already completed) is actually launched next year. He seemed pretty pleased with it.

Quite the tease :)

As I've said previously:
It's difficult enough to get hold of the current, 'dubiously coloured' GMT.

If, and when, Rolex get the colours 'right', I imagine I'd have to leave my position in any waitlist, in my will,.......for my grandson, perhaps.
I also suspect, that the 'backside' would drop out of the price of the current iteration.

PS. Have you seen the various shades of 'red', Rolex are showing in their, GMT online Brochure? Have a close look, particularly at the pink hue of the ceramic insert sample. Then go back to the first close-up shot of the watch on the first page of the 'Brochures'.
I don't know about you, but I resent having smoke, blown up my proverbial.

It’s a great rumour and let’s hope it’s true, but I won’t hold my breath.

The GMT line up did get a significant revamp this year as others have said which makes me thing the elves at Rolex are probably busy tinkering with something else now.

If true however, mines an oyster coke thank you.

Rolex just released the Pepsi so I doubt they'll release another GMT, beside even if Rolex releases the coke, good chance the vast majority won't be able to get one just like Pepsi. Good luck gents.

Yes, it's near impossible to know what Rolex will reveal in March.

However, marketing campaigns can give us a slight glimpse into what's to come. As you all know it's usually not the model that "fly off the shelves" that feature.

In the months prior to the Daytona C release I remember seeing ads everywhere of the TT white dial Daytona (Especially after the new deal Rolex signed with F1).

Now, I don't know about you guys but all I'm seeing these days is ads featuring the TT blue dial sub!!!

Just a thought... :)

Instead of a new coloured bezel Rolex should do this: invent a bezel release mechanism where the end user can remove the bezel with the help of a paper clip (similar to the iPhone sim card tray) and sell different coloured bezels. This way you don't have to buy 3 different variations of the same watch, you just buy the coloured bezel you like.

This is never going to happen, but it's nice to hope.
