So for the past year or so I've been eying the Rolex Submariner. My first Rolex was the Explorer II that I purchased 2016 because, at the time, I thought the Sub was to expensive for me.

When I finally decided it was time, I figured a Sub from 2002 would be a perfect fit because thats the year I joined the Navy. I looked and looked for a Sub with a date and couldn't find anything I really wanted. Then, the no date Sub came into my thinking and I justified that one by saying my Explorer II has a date. I started to look for a no date Sub from 2002 and found a few I liked. Still kind of hesitant I didn't pull the trigger. Of course with my luck the Steve McQueen watch gets announced its going up for auction and the no dates go up in price a bit and ones from 2002 are slim pickins.

I took a good look at my Explorer II and compared the face and features against the Sub with a date and determined they are absolutely different watches and I should go with my initial instinct.

Tonight I am happy to say I ordered the 16610, Sub with a date, no holes from 2002 (Y) with box, booklet, and papers. I am more than stoked and will defiantly post a few pictures when it gets in.
