LN if your only watch or smaller collection, D Blue if part of a rotation imo

For the DeepSea it just has to be the Blue. If you are leaning towards black go for the SD43 imo or....the best of both worlds and get both ;)

I like the black dial more. Had one of the first 116660 models that my AD got when they came out. I liked the newer models with its updates, so picked one up earlier this year.

For me, the simple black/white contrasts of the dial appeal to me more than the blue gradient and pale green lettering.

No matter what dial you like and regardless of version, the Deep Sea is a killer watch.

The lime green is horrendous to me, and unless you're in great light, the blue dial simply looks like a bad black dial. Black is the business.

I have worn a 16622 Yachtmaster as my daily for 12 years and love it. As soon as I saw the d-blue in person though, I had to have it. I have never had that reaction to any other watch before and have tried on many. My yachtmaster has not come out of the winder since I picked up the JC and it is my new daily.

I got the black simply because it was offered to me, and the wrist presence is absurdly cool. I don't you can wrong with either.

Well both are LNs. The dial color is the question. In any case I have bought the Deepsea three times, the one that stayed and will stay is the D-Blue.

If a small amount of lime green is a turn off to someone that’s a valid point (I don’t love green myself) and nothing can be done about it, but having a watch that often appears black, then sometimes a dark blue then in the right light turns a lustrous blue is a plus in my mind.

I purchased a Black Dial DS as it was available. I like both the JC and the Black. And the black DS nicely complements my 16750, all black GMT.

Really love them both! I’ve had this watch a couple times, have sworn it off because it’s ... JUST A BIT too thick, or on the verge of too big, or big to my eye vs my others, etc.....but I can pull it off
I must say this is the one with such a “cant put my finger on it” thing....that keeps me coming back I may have to bite the bullet again at some point
