Icon4 Looks like they are still up to no good. Not me.

Received another forwarded email from a friend. Someone is claiming to be me with this:

Thanks for the feedback, I will be leaving you one as well. I'm glad your loving your new watch, I ran into some awesome deals on a few watches today was wondering if you would be interested in a black dial Daytona 116520 SS V series in MINT condition w/box and complete papers. My brother in law shipped me the watches for me to sell for him after running into some financial problems. He is only looking to get $8,800 which is a great deal for this watch. The watch is practically brand new. Also has a Omega Aqua Terra 150m/ Stainless steel case with a rose gold bezel on a brown alligator leather strap for$4,500, AP Royal Oak Volcano for $17k and a AP panda dial for $18k.
Let me know if your interested. I won't be making a single dollar on any of these. Figured I will email some friends and recent /old clients of mine that are in my email before listing them."

Cell: 404-975-2072...

THIS IS NOT ME, NOR WOULD I EVER DO SUCH A OFFERING.

I just received the following email from this scammer:

Rob,

Hope all is well. I was wondering if you would be interested in a black dial Daytona 116520 SS V series in MINT condition w/box and complete papers. My brother in law asked me to help sell them for him after running into some financial problems. He is only looking to get $9,000 which is a great deal for this watch. The watch is practically brand new. Also has a Omega Aqua Terra 150m/ Stainless steel case with a rose gold bezel on a brown alligator leather strap for $4,500.
Let me know if your interested. I won't be making a single dollar on any of these. Figured I will email some friends and recent /old clients of mine that are in my email before listing them.

Received an email today with phone number.
Contacted Brian who I have worked with in the past and he let me know right away that it was a scam and not him.

I forwarded the email to the FBI

To Report Unsolicited Commercial E-mail ("Spam")

Many consumers receive a variety of unsolicited commercial e-mail (also known as "spam") in their offices or at home. While people don't always like getting spam, much of it has a legitimate business purpose. Unsolicited e-mails, however, are often the initial means for criminals, such as operators of fraudulent schemes, to contact and solicit prospective victims for money, or to commit identity theft by deceiving them into sharing bank and financial account information.

The following information, e-mail addresses and contacts noted below are provided for your reference if you have received a particular type of unsolicited email and would like to report or forward it on to law enforcement authorities.

https://www.justice.gov/doj/spam,

REPORT THIS CLOWN!!!!!

Avoid and report phishing emails
https://support.google.com/mail/answer/8253?hl=en

Avoid phishing attacks
Be careful anytime you get an email from a site asking for personal information. If you get this type of email:
Don’t click any links or provide personal information until you've confirmed the email is real.
If the sender has a Gmail address, report the Gmail abuse to Google.
Note: Gmail won't ever ask you for personal information, like your password, over email.

When you get an email that looks suspicious, here are a few things to check for:
Check that the email address and the sender name match.
Check if the email is authenticated.
Hover over any links before you click on them. If the URL of the link doesn't match the description of the link, it might be leading you to a phishing site.
Check the message headers to make sure the "from" header isn't showing an incorrect name.
Important: If you think your Gmail address has been taken over, recover your compromised Gmail account before sending or opening any other emails.

I played along with it and said I'd be interested in both watches. I asked when we could meet at the store. Here's his newest response with a new cell number:

The watches are my brothers, I'm just helping him sell them and get the word out. I can give you his email and you can discuss them with him. He's trustworthy and I vouch for him 100℅.

Tony Geha

What does it mean when someone vouches for you
”100℅“?

I am embarrassed to say, I got spammed. he posed as ebxchange, whom I purchased a watch from 2 years ago.

I thought I was selling Quang my Panerai, I needed tuition money for my daughter. I am so damn stupid.

He sent me a FedEx label and I thought I was dealing with Quang.

I guess I am done. I can't believe it. I never fell for anything before. I spend my time protecting my 91-year-old mother from scammers and I got beat.

Out $4,500

Can I call the local police and give the address I sent the watch to? Not sure that is legit either.

I wish I had seen this thread sooner.

I have sold watches to dealers on here before. I sent the watch first and they wired me the money.

Argh.....I am so mad at myself.

Be careful, watch out user Monte, messages or comments are not from the actual account owner

Got an IM from this individual threatening to report me.

Sold a watch to Monte in 2016, went well, got positive feedback from him, now this user asking me “where is my payment or my watch? Do I have to report this? Why are you avoiding me?”

As you can see, there is no details on payment, what type of watch, we do need to see recent payment proof and the details.

So, if you got IM or texts from Monte, those are not from the actual account owner.
