Rolex guy to consider a Panerai PAM 532
Hello-
An avid Rolex guy here seriously considering to make the Panerai plunge. Specifically the Panerai PAM 532 1940 3 Days Paneristi Forever Limited. I absolutely LOVE the clean look of this piece and without the date function however it only comes in. 47mm. I think maybe a 44mm would be my sweet spot but unfortunately Panerai doesn't offer this model in that size so I have a 6 3/4 to 7" wrist. Since this watch is thin I was wondering if I could pull this off or if it would look too clownish. Does anyone have a similar model and about the same wrist size as me that can post some pics to help make my decision? I can't seem to locate any online. Thanks much! |

The Pam 532 wears smaller to is size. Not my pics. It’s a wonderful piece.

532 is a beauty.
If you want a smaller watch with a black case and no date, and would consider ceramic, you could look at the 292 or 634. With the 45 size and wire lugs, these will wear noticeably smaller. |

The lugs would wear larger unfortunately. The 1940 radiomir wears big IMHO. The original Radiomir wears much nicer.
I think a 643 will give a similar look. Ceramic and ecru lume. Hobnail puts it over the top. There is one for sale on watch recon right now https://www.watchrecon.com/?query=pam+643

I would try on similar models if you can. Each wrist is different. Some round, some flat, etc. your wrist shape matters.

I can’t comment on 532 since I’ve never tried one,but 514 fits similar to 372 (which is also comparable to 368 and 375....)
However I tried 577 (which is 48mm) and I find it fits big for “only” an extra 1mm |

I pulled the trigger... my bank account does not like me but it will arrive tomorrow no later than 10:30am. Zero return restrictions so if it doesn't sing to me i guess i will hold in my possession until it does. lol

FedEx left about 45min ago so here it is. It will take some getting used to coming from nothing but Rolex's. This thing is a monster yet comfortable and lite.
I’m a little disappointed that you cannot pause the second hand while adjusting the time as you can with with a Rolex. The only way that to do it (that I’ve researched) is to let the power reserve run out and adjust the hour and minute and soon as the desired second has reached start winding. Sort of cheesy IMO but o’well. |

Congrats,it’s really Nice, yeah it’s one of the quirks of P300x,personally I don’t care as I do enjoy my P3000 based watches to worry too much about the exact second (especially on the models with no second)

Congratulations!!
Looks good on you. Enjoy! As for the time setting, when I need the "exact" second, I look to my phone. Otherwise, within a minute or two is good enough for me. ;-) |
