Rolex Day-Date Tridor

Had never seen this until today... Any one know the history behind it and what it was made of?

Thanks!

Three colors of gold.

They were popular in the 80's.

As a matter of fact I'm looking for a Tridor DD as we speak.

Basically a white gold case DD with yellow gold bezel and crown, The tridor name comes from the presidental bracelet which is made up of white gold outer links with center link of yellow and rose gold fused together. A very rare rare DD to find.

White gold, hence the Tridor name(3 different shades of gold).

Interesting isn't the word I'd use to describe it. But I'm very biased. I like the iconic yellow gold Day Dates with the fluted bezel, champagne dial with stick markers, and President bracelet.

I like that it's different and unique from the rest of the DD line.

Tridor Day-Date

I wear mine when watching re-runs of Miami Vice...

Just love the diamond-set "Computer" dial (with the word Rolex impressed across it)... feels so 1980's..!

If my memory doesn't fail me the Tridor's SRP was like $17k while the 18k YG Daydate was like $14k the time they were offered.
