One of the reasons I collect watches is to insure I have the correct tool for any given scenario, including vacation time.

Enjoy Cancun!

Exactly.

My travel and “beater” pieces (watches I won’t be that bummer about if something happened) include:
SLA037
SJE093
FXD
Seamaster 300 (25 yrs old)
Seiko MilSub 5513 recreation
So many G-Shocks
Apple Ultra watch

Those are the ones I’m comfortable taking on foreign travel or activities. Others in my collection I’m protective of.

It's the Marienberg Fortress on the left bank of the Main River in Wurzburg, Germany. Part of a 4 country European tour [Budapest to Amsterdam] the wife & I did last November.

This is a fun thread! Question for the group though - outside of a piece being no longer available or one that has sentimental value, wouldnt you just want to ensure your favorite watches and wear them everywhere!? (The exception would be dangerous locations of course).

I have a 224270 and got it insured and where that thing all around the globe. This thread has me looking for an excuse to get a vacation watch though :)

I just got back from a six day road trip driving my mother (81) and her BF (84) back up north for the summer. I was driving their minivan and staying in cheap hotels of their choosing. Not wanting to wear anything nice for this ordeal I chose my Seiko Black Monster SRP307.
The truck of watches.

Just returned from Nassau. Brought three…PP, SD43 and YG SKD.
Thought I’d wear the PP or SD43 to do most everything, and the SKD for nicer occasions. Ended up thinking twice about the activities I’d be taking the PP or SD43 on …..swimming with dolphins a couple times, going down slides, concrete sided river tube rides, etc…
So I ran out quickly after we got there and got a Tissot Seastar for “questionable” activity.
Ended up wearing all, used the hotel safe, no issues…

This one is my go to on vacation.
Wearing it now in the Dominican Republic and is the only watch in the stable I wouldn’t be devastated losing.
