question about the Panerai AD margin
I'm about to buy either a Panerai or Rolex from my usual AD (they sell both). Have to make up my mind between the DSSD or pam347. However, this will be the first time I am working with a trade-in.
I know how much I should get for mine - but I was wondering if anyone knew the margins that Panerai AD's get on the watches? Does the model effect it? this would help me to get the best price, since I know they can fudge the numbers more when dealing with a trade-in. thanks! |

I think it is 40%, but I am not 100% sure.
My AD told me he makes less on SE models. |

40% is what i have heards... but I have always had a hard time getting Panerai AD to discount. The most I have seen is 5% discount. You might get a strap or some freebies, thats about it.

that's about what I expected -
and I know how they've gotten tight about the discounts since the economy has picked up. |

I had 12% knocked off my latest PAM, and 15% knocked off the additional oem strap by my AD. The discount would not have been as great on a SE model. I would say anything above 5% is a good deal on the PAM.

I know of people who got 30% off so the markup is more than that in most cases. Panerai is cracking down on this as best they can however.
If you want new, I'd recommend you reach out to one of the trusted sellers here. They can get you a better deal as they deal in such high volumes.
