Incoming!

Now, I don't expect thunderous applause for this, but I've been waiting with bated breath for many months for this day.

I read that the Timex Marlin was back in stock, so today I checked the website and there it was, and with a 15% discount.

I ordered one immediately.

I've very excited.

Cool! I'll applaud

I'll also have to look closely at the old Timex I picked up at an estate sale in my neighborhood a few years ago. It might be this model.

That's an awesome watch, kudos to you! For all the companies "reissuing" old pieces, I think Timex got it right.

Love the watch but can’t pay $200 for a watch with a really cheap movement. Looks wise tho it’s such an awesome watch

I think it's pretty awesome. You should snap should shots and share your experience after spending time with it.

Yeah, I've read some good reviews and even saw some Youtube videos of it this year. However, not too many pictures from people who actually own it. I enjoy the more down to earth experiences and pictures from real owners over the high quality pictures you normally get but very little details about the ownership experience.

I'm not really sure what you mean.

It's a really cheap (though well-built, I hope) watch with a mechanical, hand-wind movement.

What do you expect for $200, minus 15%?

There are over 100 reviews here, many with photos.

https://www.timex.com/marlin-34mm-ha...RoCz58QAvD_BwE

Personally, I think the reviewers who complain about the strap are nuts.

If the watch arrives and the strap bothers me, I know, as does everyone here, where to get some very nice ones, which is not a big deal.

Wow... You're right. I never thought to check the official online store. Usually official sites don't have reviews or the ability for reviewers to upload photos...

Congrats Grady !!! Looking forward to the pics and your review cause some
of the reviews on the Timex website about the watch are questionable...

Way to go! On my wish list. Look forward to your review. Too small at 34mm?
Maybe I am spoiled by four and five figured watch prices, but how bad can it be for $200?

Hey, one of my favorite watches is the Orient Symphony and I bought that for like $100. A $200 can definitely be awesome.

But yeah, some watches can be questionable. However, I've always liked Timex. I had one growing up with the illuminating dial, which was helpful in the dark.

I'm a big fan of the Orient watches, myself.

I love these two Bambinos.

Those are magnificent. They would complement any sport watches well. I actually don't have a Bambino yet despite buying several Orients and gifting some as well.

I'm trying to keep my collection pared down to just 10 so I've had to see some good watches go, however, I couldn't gift away the Orient Symphony. There's just something about it that I adore with its arabic numerals, the affordable price tag, the raised logo on the dial, etc.

Thanks, Nick.

I've had those Bambinos for quite some time.

It's the Timex that's incoming.

Nicely done Grady. Congratulations!
I picked up this Timex (Todd Snyder edition) last Christmas for $100.

What a waste of money IMHO, if your going to keep it . There are so many other watch brands Seiko , orient , Citizen with better made quality of a watch.
