ORIS makes a great watch. I love the brand and their build quality is right up there with bigger names like Omega and Breitling.

My Aquis Date has been with me all over the world and hasn’t missed a beat.

Oris make a great watch. Love the divers sixty five range. Owned the Carl Brashear bronze for a while, that was great

Have you checked out the limited edition for Hodinkee ... I tried to but it but sold out in minutes apparently. https://limited.hodinkee.com/oris/

Excuse my ignorance please. I own a Oris Classic XXL moon phase which I adore and i'm very attached too. One of the sub dials is missing a hand (it came loose when i dropped it and it's made it's way into the movement via the moon phase section (still works perfectly I might add). The case is pretty beat up too, it's taken a few dings over the years.

Could I get it serviced, repaired and or polished? If so where do I begin look? What sort of price am I looking at? I don't have any paperwork, just the watch. I don't have an Oris dealer locally but my local Goldsmiths do sell the brand, guess that's the same thing but not entirely sure?

Thank you in advance.

Try the Oris service center. Any watch needing major work like yours is probably best served this way

Thank you, I popped into my local AD and asked them the same question. They said they could send it away to Oris directly. They did say they may need to replace the dial with the sub dial being missing a hand, I hope not.

Any idea what this might cost?

Nice watches, my only complaint is the service support. Oris do not have a service center in the USA, instead they use an authorized independent watch service. I sent a Big Crown in for service and the cost was estimated at nearly half the original price of the watch, for a simple SW-200 movement, just under the price of an Omega service.

I guess you could get a bid from another independent watch repair service, unless there is a warranty issue.

The problem is Oris will not provide the parts.

Oh man, that's pretty expensive. That's almost half what I paid for it and probably more than it's current value. Would you still go ahead?

Think i'm facing a similar dilemma. What did you do? Hopefully I'll have better luck in UK although the AD said they may need to replace to dial too as one of the hands on the sub dial is missing so I won't hold my breath.

I have a divers 65 and really enjoy it. I think it's really good value for the price.

I love the watch, has been my daily since I got it almost a week ago. It's my third Oris this year from my local AD. Yes, I did get a discount but I do buy a lot of watches from this AD.

Great looking watch...I’m selling off my rolexes and looking for a new watch and I think I’ve found it in the Oris. Now to decide between GMT and caliber 400

I really liked my Oris Diver 65...until it broke. I'm hoping to get it back from my guy later this week.

Other than my issue, I think Oris is good brand to look at. Plus, they're still independent which makes the new Calibre 400 even that much cooler. I'm waiting to see what else they put it into but I can absolutely see myself getting another Oris down the road.

I’m interested in getting the Aquis. Can you recommend the AD where you bought it.

Thanks,

All opinions welcome.
I like Oris, my only suggestion is "buy used" :)

I will be picking up this same model shortly, but with red dial and on bracelet. Any issues with yours? I really like the look of the Big Crown line.

No issues whatsoever. I have swapped out the watch band a couple of times. The original is nothing special. The bracelet may be the way to go.

But love the watch. Own it since September, 2019. Owned a similar watch about ten years ago, gifted it to a nephew, regretted it, bought this one.
