Monaco Calibre 12

I had a chance to pick up one of my grail watches - A Tag Heuer Monaco. I went into the AD expecting to pick up a Calibre 11, but left with the Calibre 12. While the Calibre 11 is closer to the historic Steve McQueen watch, I thought the dial on the Calibre 12 looked better in person.

Congrats, I agree the 11 is just too flat.

Nice watch; had one (in black) and really love the heritage aspect of it. The reason the crown was on the wrong size was because it was one of the original self winding chronos and to remind that it didn't need winding. I could see having an 11 someday although I might reconsider after hearing it needs to diet.

Reviving this... just purchased a caliber 11(pre loved). Was torn between the 11, 12 and the new in house movement. Ultimately went with the most
historically accurate. Love the crown on the left

Have always loved the Monaco! I’ll list pictures when it arrives

I got the AD down to $4400. MSRP at the time was $5400.
