BLNR by a country mile. I love how in most light the blue accents are actually quite subtle... it's a beautiful watch.

I have had both and found that I preferred the LN. You really can't go wrong with either. Buy the one YOU want!

I like the BLNR better in pictures but I like the LN better in real life!

It’s a tough call for me. I have both. Really liked the LN at first sight. I didn’t like the BLNR at first, but I did over time. I inquired about it and was offered one from the authorized dealer where I got my LN. I’m very happy I said yes to the BLNR.

LN by a country kilometer. The BLNR does nothing for me.

That GMT / RubberB with green stripe looks awesome. Sometimes rubber straps just look very aftermarket (regardless of perfect fit and price / brand) but that combination looks so darn good!

LN is the one to have if you don’t already own a black bezel Rolex. It is more sophisticated and versatile than the others. Works better with smarter clothes and uniform but still great with casual wear. If you plan to own it for the long term it is easier to live with a more elegant and understated look.

All-around BLNR (with bi-color bezel) beats ubiquitous LN, IMHO.

At nice fancy restaurants and similar lighting conditions the blue fades to black. Get the blue it gives the watch a nice pop. Same for the Hulk. It turns black as well in similar lighting conditions. Rolex is the master of having a watch go from flashy to classy. The BLNR just kicks it up a notch. Plus it’s more rare then the LN. I have seen way more LNs in the wild then BLNRs or Sub LVs. Let us know what you pick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I like blue a lot on watches, and I'm not a big fan of green on watches. I'm also not keen that the green on the LN is just a few random accents. That made the decision easy for me when I bought my BLNR.

I just wish the accent color for the LN was red instead of green.
I'd take the BLNR. |

BLNR. Bi-color bezels are a Rolex GMT specialty & this is the only 21st century color.

LN... why go black when there are so many other colourful combinations? If you want black just get a Sub.
Personally I love the colour variants. Why stop at BLNR.... go CHNR - Rootbeer trumps Sub/LN or BLNR to my eyes :) |

The subtle green text, green GMT hand and black bezel. I have always preferred watches to be steel and black. Maybe I am a boring guy...only coloured Rolex that I have is the Milgauss GV.
Green is the corporate colour of Rolex, therefore I see it as fitting to have a touch of green... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I have a BLNR and I’d go for the Black. Why? BLNR Bezels are still produced while Black only is totally out of production. I think in 10 years the market will realize that bi color bezels are too common and one color bezels will actually be relatively less common.
Unless your AD likes you, you’ll need to pay a premium to buy a BLNR regardless of reference. Given that black is at a discount, this is my choice.

But when I had the choice I took the BLNR because I liked it more :)

The GMT LN had a long shelf life. And the only problem with the GMT LN being all black is that it competes with the SUB LN. If one wants a sold color black bezel why not get the most iconic watch of all time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

2) because you want a GMT. The sub won’t track multiple time zones. Black bezel or not.

BLNR vs GMT black bezel
Quote:
The GMT LN was produced for 12 years. The 116170 BLNR was produced for only 6 years. The SS BLRO for only 2 years as of now. The 126710 BLNR for 1 year. Before the 116710 BLNR was produced the only GMT you could buy in SS was the LN. now that Rolex has the BLNR and the BLRO and have constricted the supply of those watches I have a feeling that neither will sell as many as the LN. Maybe if you Combine them they will equal the sales of the LN. Save the all black bezel for the dive watches. They are the most iconic. The GMT watches that Rolex makes in my mind and most others are 2 tone bezels. They only made it all back in ceramic back in 2007 because at the time Rolex said it was impossible to make a 2 color bezel. Then in 2013 they created the BLNR. The 116710 would have been my choice if Rolex hadn’t produced the 116713

Post incomings. I bought mine from a buddy who bought the 126710 BLNR as it fit his collection better and he wanted a jubilee. I prefer the oyster so it was a win win. I’m going to send it to LAWW and let them refinish it in a few months. His was never polished but well worn. As recommended on your other post I would shop around. The 116710 BLNR is a better everyday watch as the jubilee dresses it up more imo. Will this be your only watch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
