Maybe the best collection day EVER

So after a couple of long years, my BLRO is finally ready to collect.

Two days before I had a missed call from my friend (yes friend) from the AD, a letter arrived, inviting my wife and I to a castle for an evening with the AD directors. Five course meal, some dramatic reading and an opportunity to handle some exclusive pieces.

So next Thursday, I’ll end my Rolex journey on the high of all highs.

I can’t wait!

No seriously. I always had a BLRO as my end game.

Then you set your eyes on PM watches. Seriously, full RG rootbeer or Daytona on OF. The only downside is there are fewer and fewer places you can wear PM watches.

Sounds fun! Except for the "dramatic reading" part. That sounds horrible.

Congrats! However, unless you have an abnormally high level of willpower, your Rolex journey has probably not ended yet. Rolex is like a drug dealer and we are all "hooked". If nothing right now interests you, don't worry....Rolex puts out new and exciting "drugs" every year! Something in the future will most likely start your hunger again. I think a lot of us have been in the same boat.

My Rolex journey started in 2018 with an LN GMT which I sold. Instantly regretted it. Since then I’ve bought a Submariner, Explorer 39, mint datejust, Tudor FXD, Pro, Harrods and 58 blue. Throughout all of them what I’ve really been aching for is a BLRO.

I love the idea of coming full circle and ticking that GMT box. After that I’ve got a couple of vintage pieces I’ve had an would like to replace. Then a Polerouter. I’ll update this if anything changes.

I’ll definitely put some pics up if I can from Thursday.
