You have $35,000 to add any watches to this collection

I have $35,000 from the sale of my Sub 124060, Zenith Chronomaster Sport and some cash on top dedicated solely to watches. Couldn’t connect to the Sub because the black bezel was a bit boring for me and the Zenith because it sat too high on the wrist (though I loved the design). Which watches (Rolex or non Rolex) would you add? This is a continuation from a previous thread, the results of which convinced me to open up the net wider vs just requesting folks to choose from a few options.

For Rolex, I would have to go grey and for non-rolex, I would prefer to buy pre-owned and let someone else take the hit on depreciation. I’m also not a fan of vintage.

My current collection is a 321 Speedmaster Ed White and a 126710 BLRO “Pepsi” on Jubilee.

What would you add to this? 1 Ceramic Daytona? 1 green ceramic sub and a batman? 1 green sub, 1 pre owned Reverso and a Grand Seiko? Go crazy! Thought it would be a fun topic as the weekend winds down. Thanks!

but you did say you got bored with the black dial.

I love my Milgauss and James Cameron too.

If my AD comes through, I’m crossing my fingers for a Deepsea Challenge

Lots of different flavors though for every taste!

I’d sell the Pepsi jubilee and pick up a 126719 WG GMT. You’ll have that and an Ed White which is the perfect 2 watch collection!

I would add a white dial. Exp II, Milgauss, Sky-Dweller and a kermit sub.

I agree that is DD money right there. A safe queen 5 digit and cash left over, a 6 digit with solid bracelet and maybe a upgraded dial and some cash left over or a 40mm.

You have a Chrono and a GMT! I would suggest a dress watch on a leather strap
I would go with Patek calatrava 6119 (G or R)

Yeah, I’d go with a Daytona C. It was what I was thinking when reading your post and then it was the first one you mentioned.

You’ll have a solid 5k left too. Coincidently, that matches my consultation fee.

Adding a white daytona was the best thing i've ever done for my collection; also, the worst

best in the sense that it's my favorite watch and i wear it all the time

worst in that i have to force myself to wear my other watches, and the whole time i really just wish i had my daytona on. it has been nearly two years and the "wow" factor still hasn't worn off for me.

ymmv

If you’re spending that amount - I’d go one watch and PM

White dialled SS Daytona is fine. But the premiums (in the UK) are still ridiculous. And you’ve got a classic stainless steel chrono

If you fancy a Daytona, think about PM

That’s what I did

I’d find the best WG DD36 you can afford.

I’d stick to Rolex and get a DD40 of your preference (or 36 if that would fit you better).

With 35k Rolex isn’t even in my conversation. I would probably go for a VC overseas or pretty much anything from Lange.

I'd look at a 16528. Its modern enough, gold, dial options, historic, hugs the wrist, and is water resistant to 100m. What more do you need. Why panda at that price when you can PM>
