Just came back from looking at a couple GP Laureatos and I am fairly impressed. My only concern is value retention. I was looking at a ceramic version with MSRP at $16k, PrestigeTime on Chrono24 lists it for $12k, and I can’t find any sales of used ones but I can only imagine it goes down further from there. No matter how much you like a watch it’s hard to pull the trigger on something you know will be worth only 25% of your cost the minute your out the door.

I have a theory that GP will slowly appreciate in value over the next couple of years. Demand for stainless steel Patek and vintage Rolex led to increased demand for AP and modern stainless steel Rolex, and now even Omega unique LE's and Omega vintage are seeing increased demand. GP, with it's history, manufacture, availability and pleasant aesthetics, will be part of the trend. They need to be smart with supply, marketing, distribution, and brand management and value will shoot up. Or just have a rapper photographed wearing a Laureato! :)

GP should appreciate but that’s only because they’re already depreciated so much. They really need to situate themselves better in the market.
