Usually I can find something I like in any watch. As far as looks go, I can't. But, I'm sure the GO movements are stunning, but what the hell were they thinking

Yup, their ugly (my wife doesn't like them at all). However GO did unveil some nicer models that are in the men's range.

You know... while I would never wear the red one, I think it's rather striking, from a Chinese-influenced art kinda way. Take the diamonds away and it's almost wearable (not by me). But I'd wear that waaaaay before that fugly iced Rolex.

These are all "art" watches, and in that respect I like them. They wouldn't be among my top choices for telling time.

There seems to be a trend toward developing a lot more of these watches in the last few years. It could be part of a marketing strategy -- to draw attention to the brand's "normal" watches by presenting these funky creations. Afterall, they're not intending to sell many of those.

I'm glad I'm not alone here, Peter.

The beautiful thing about the GOs is, that you just have to turn them over to look at the movement and the dial can be completely forgiven. I also suspect these types of 'art' watches are targeting collectors who may never likely wear these watches, but just have them on display. One thing is certain, you can't fault the build quality and craftsmanship of a GO.

Well, even though I posted it, it seems that everyone is forgetting that those shown by JJ are ladies watches (that are typically not what most men would want to wear, except for maybe Metrosexual Shane....... ).

GO did not just release these "things" but also some additions to their men's line of watches. Some are simple, some complicated, for instance:

The tourbillon regulator. Interesting dial layout for sure. I am not typically a fan of regulator watches, but I do like the layout of this one (although I am a little surprised it's not a flying tourbillon):

As John stated, the movements on GO's are stunning, and this calibre 46 is certainly a piece of art (wow!):

In the more "pedestrian" line, they have a Pano-series with another time zone:

A version of the Panomatic Chrono that I saw in person a while back, but this one is much more subdued:

In the Senator line, some new complications:

There are also some additions to the Karee line, that use a rectangular case.

Then some additions to the Navigator line - "pilot" watches:

So, not all bling as some would have you believe........ ;-)

I specially like the gold one on brown leather strap...the one on top. Very, very beautiful indeed. If I could afford it, I'd love to have it just for dress and formal wear. Gorgeously stunning!!

One thing is for sure, all of those watches are finished beautifully and how they were intended to be. Except for the Rolx which seems to just be an afterthought with some bling thrown in.
