Best sites to get watch straps?

I'm looking to get a watch strap for my watch. Any recommendations on where I should be looking?

Was just about to post the same thing! I looked around on eBay and Amazon and Etsy. Are you looking for OEM or aftermarket, and leather/precious metals?
Cheers,
Valentine

Like what Harkovchan said, it really depends on what watch and material of strap you are looking for.
Steel, Nato, Leather, Exotic, Rubber....
Another thing to consider is if your watch has a deployment clasp and if you wanted to continue to use it if it does.
There is a site Handmadewatchstraps.com which will do amazing work or custom make it for you.
Being a Panerai owner the amount of straps available it huge but I've had luck with Etsy.com from a British leather maker that goes by neptune straps, good quality and fair prices.
If all else fails that still with OEM, they are perfect in every sense of the word.
Greg stevens is another very reputable guy to get straps from. I have friends who have used Horusstraps.com but I've never purchased anything from them.

What watch? Also what material are you thinking?

For my Panerai, I like Ted Su Straps, De Luca Straps, and Dangerous9straps.

I've just done research into this. I ended up ordering from Bulang & Sons, but I also liked Bad & Lokes and Jean Paul Menicucci.

I ordered a "black label" suede from Crown & Buckle recently. I've been very happy with it. Have a horween shell cordovan from Bulang & Sons that is also nice.

From personal experience, I can vouch for:

- Timefactors - for NATO straps (best quality nylon and I love the hardware)

- Gnomon Watches - also for NATO straps (they provide a complimentary springbar tool if you buy a certain number and free postage too)

- Bas & Lokes - for suede or leather straps (very easy to deal with)

- Watchgecko - for rubber NATOs (I've also got a perlon on order, so I hope it arrives soon)

No affiliation with any of the above. Just a happy customer

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but does anyone know where I can get one of the tools to use on the spring bars to change out the bracelet and straps?

Thanks.

I bought my Bergeon tool on amazon.

In respect of straps I have bought a few from Bulang & Sons and I am very happy with these.

You can get the private label classic Bergeon tool from Ofrei, online,
Otto Frei, Oakland, Ca. It's less cost same tool.

If you're going after market I personally prefer HODINKEE. They have a great variety and excellent Quality.

Custom straps - "As You Like It!"

Recently, I was shown a curved end, leather strap, custom made for this guys's JLC, and it was pretty spectacular. Also a bit pricey, but such is the cost of our sickness, no?

In any case, this alligator strap was simply beautiful, and it fit the curved case like my Everest rubber strap fits my 16710 Pepsi - - like they were formed together.

Does anyone have experience with ordering a completely custom fine leather strap from:
https://strappedfortime.com ??

I have had great experiences with FinWatchStraps. Particularly the Carlo Baldassi Pueblo in Olive and the Vintage Suede in Cuba Commander. Both look great and bring out the patina in my 16610’s dial.

Bulang & Sons are top quality straps. I own two and I’m looking for another one.

I stumbled on this italian strap maker's site and couldn't be more impressed

https://www.distefanostraps.com/

i'll warn you, you'll spend more than a small amount of time studying her straps - especially the "Museum Collection" - Her straps are her own design, and generally not what you'll see elsewhere.

She's in Firenze, Italy, not far from the Panerai factory and apparently is pretty popular with the panny crowd, but not quite panny pricing. The 25 Euro shipping charge is 2 day delivery via Fed Ex

and a shot from her web of the same strap

the strap is 5mm thick and as soft as butter. It conformed to my wrist the instant i put it on, absolutely the most comfortable leather strap i've ever worn

She (Simona Di Stephano, generally responded to my email questions the next morning (i usually emailed her in the evenings, my time)

FWIW

Have you checked out the ‘local’ strap supplier here on TRF?

I really like Combat Straps. Nothing to do with military or combat, FYI. Bought a couple for my dad this past Christmas and they turned out beautifully. I’m thinking about buying a Panerai just so I can get straps from him that are easy to change. I do like Panerai, so not a completely ridiculous plan. Mostly ridiculous, but not completely.
