Canada visit pt. 3 - Quebec City

The end.

Truly beautiful and charming city; ranks up there with the best in terms of our favorite cities.

Hope you enjoyed the photo series! Charleston in December is next...

We've been to Florence, Prague, many of the major European cities...all I can say is that Quebec City was just as beautiful, if not more. Very pleasantly surprised.

I did as well and it certainly look like an European village! Being a couple of hours away from home makes it even better! How long do you think is ideal to stay in both Montreal and Quebec?

We did 4 days (2 hrs Montreal / 1 QC), but we cover a lot of ground when we travel. I think 2 nts apiece would work.

Quebec is a very old and important European type city in Canada with a great history.

Yes, definitely filled with a lot of history. I wish more of my friends realized just how great the North can be...it's generally Europe or bust for most of us.

Really great pictures! It has me thinking of taking the family during the Holidays. Never been to Montreal or Quebec City.

I drove through Quebec City on a motorcycle coming home from Prince Edward Island, and from the highway, it looked like any other city. I wish I would have spent some time there.

Be sure to fly to St. Kitts and Nevis, this is an island state that will definitely not leave you indifferent. After my trip there, I immediately firmly decided that I wanted to have the citizenship of this country. In addition, it is beneficial because it will be possible to visit more than 120 countries without a visa. In general, I have already applied for citizenship to this http://vcgarant.com/grazhdanstvo/kariby/sent-kits-i-nevis/ company.

Gorgeous. I wish I had spent more time there. Makes me want to return. One of the best things about the trip is that you can hit both cities which each have their own charms.

We were between Quebec City and Toronto from Montreal when we were planning this one; glad we went with the quaint, charming city.

I'm sure Toronto is great, but we tend to enjoy the smaller locales vs. bustling towns (Florence vs. Rome, Santorini vs. Athens, etc.).

Definitely doesn't look like anything from the highway - you gotta get deep in to see Old Quebec!

Love your posts, thanks for sharing. My wife and I took the kids to Toronto and Montreal a few years ago, but didn't make it out to Quebec City. We absolutely loved Montreal, will have to make a return trip in the near future.

Thank you! If you liked Montreal's Vieux-Port, then you'll definitely fall in love with Old Quebec City. It does not disappoint.

For anyone interested the Quebec Winter Carnival is pretty famous.

https://carnaval.qc.ca/en

As well there is a Pee Wee Hockey Tournament there during the time of the carnival which a lot of players that made it to the NHL played in at one point.

Really great photos jpeezy!
As mentioned by a PP, you’re pics are terrific and I look forward to the next round.
I’m curious, was there any language barrier in QC?
Perhaps you speak French. I don’t and want to be prepared when I eventually make it there.
Montreal wasn’t too bad for me, but QC is said to be much more “French”.

I appreciate it!

We don't speak French at all, but did not find any issues with the language barrier. French definitely seems to be the primary language, but most people spoke both, so it's definitely nothing to worry about.
