I did not find him all that nice and he really is just an attention whore in my mind. Ferrari seems to love him. I guess he is one of their top collectors.

Although I did walk in and buy a DSSD JC from his store a few years ago.

David Lee's is an envy producing collection for sure. LaFerrari, Enzo, F50, F40, 288GTO just to name a few. I'm surprised (or not) the negative comments considering he shares common interests/hobbies with many here (watches etc). Some great Doug DeMuro episodes with David as well. Similar comments when Sly comes up as well. Guess we want to be the "influencers" instead. You guys better not try to get a Daytona from his AD

The reason you don't see many around is because they're all in the shop.

If they could get them all running at the same time they'd be a ubiquitous as Beemers.

I have three, a 67 Ghibli. 74 Indi and a 2001 3200GT (Ferrari owned), never in the shop other then restoration, the 3200GT has been flawless, tear drop rear lights are legendary. I agree with the beemers, electrics are trash.

Back in '06-'07, my indy mechanic had a Quatroportte in his shop that I was admiring. I commented on it's looks & his response was "don't do it; this is what I call a "right laner". "It's going to break down, you don't know when, but you'll want to stay in the right lane anytime you drive".

As I recall, those years were notorious for having terrible transmissions. I'm sure they've improved since they dumped the F1 automated manual, but the term "right laner" has stuck with me since.

This thread needs some pics. Snap a few of your collection, we'd love to see them.

This is David Lee, he owns Hing Wa Lee Jewelers. He is definitely made a name for himself in the Ferrari community.

Having said that, his vid always rub me the wrong way. I get it that he got money, and seems like he couldn't stop talking about it.

He is probably a nice guy, just some one I can't hang with ... LOL
