Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys for $140M in 1989. Inflation adjusted, that is $322M in 2021. The franchise is currently worth $6.5B, according to Forbes. A "twenty-bagger", as we say.

You are measuring the Cowboys in terms of regular season and playoff success. Methinks Mr. Jones is using a different measuring stick, and is very happy with the results. You still care, fill the seats, watch the games and increase his asset value. Playoff losses or wins, doesn't really matter to most of these owners. The fan interest is the payoff.

It's very true of "my" Packers, too ( I have a couple of shares of 'stock'). They are currently running a stock sale to raise $90M for stadium improvements, driven by fan interest in their current season/playoff run.

Value of the franchise based on percent increase is roughly the same as the Patriots. Yet Pats have managed tp also have on field success. Its not mutually exclusive to make the right investment AND hire the right people to manage operations for you. The part that doesn't fit is his megalomania!!!

Forget the Cowboys…

Hey Aaron Rodgers! GET A HAIRCUT!!!!

Hate me if you will, make fun of me for being a Detroit Lions Fan, I admit my team sucks, but I was SO HAPPY to see the grand Diva of Aaron Rodgers lose tonight.

Hey Dallas fans, sorry, best of luck next year. 49ers fans, congratulations on an incredible playoff performance, every other team and fan, best of luck either this year or next, but to see the number one seed, the Green Bay Cheeseheads lose to the SIXTH ranked 49ers!!!!!!! YESSSSSS!!!!!!

He isn't a diva....but OK. Coming from a fan of a team whose two best players chose to retire in their primes....can't be more diva than that.

I hear you, Paul. When you're a Lions fan (or Bears, or Vikings fan for that matter) rooting against the Packers is what the playoffs have come to mean. For most, it's all they've ever known.

2 tops seeds both lost at home yesterday on last second field goals. Crazy. Today the home teams will win. Well, I hope so anyway for the Bucs.

Sad, but you are 100% correct. I was literally running around my condo during the last drive, swearing and praying at the same time for the Packers to lose I don’t think I would be that in to it if the Lions actually were playing

Yeah, but I agreed with your assessment on that friggin Diva.

Paul, you just have to learn to admit your failures and enjoy the rare and very few successes that you can possibly muster.
Tumi Boy!!!
