Santa Barbara + Solvang

Our first trip of 2022 took us to Santa Barbara and Solvang for a long weekend with the wild boys. We stayed at the Ritz Bacara, Santa Barbara and I can't say enough great things about the place.

We considered this a "staycation", as it was within state lines and we drove the 3.5 hours to get there. All in all, a very relaxing Presidents Day Weekend.

Great pics! Did you guys stop by Ostrichland near Solvang? Random note, one of the great clockmakers spot is near there as well, David Walter timepieces in Buellton.

The Disney suitcases may be the winning shot!

Thanks! It was a semi-wet Saturday morning, so we just drove by the ostrich farm. Impressive!

Looks great.

Doing photography workshops in Santa Barbara in the early 80s was one of the triggers to induce me to move to CA. (the Mediterranean of California)

Now we're an hour away and visit often since moving to T.O.

Solvang is it's own Dutch colony which we visited for the first time a few months ago.

Love the pictures.

Great pics as always Jesse.
You’re fortunate, and smart, to make these memories while your family is young. As they say about raising children, the days are long but the years are short. I can verify that’s true.

Looks beautiful. I had a college friend who grew up in Montecito and his folks still live there. It always looked beautiful from the pics I saw. As Blansky wrote, "the Mediterranean of California" and I love the Mediterranean.

My boys say that in the comics, he and Boba Fett know each other and have worked together in the past. They are guessing that we will see more of him this season on Book of Boba Fett, perhaps with him even joining with and working for Boba after he spared his life.
