Resolutions

I know many of you do not partake in resolutions. Please feel free to sit this thread out.

This is for those that do make them. I am curious, are you following through? I personally love resolutions and make them daily. For the new year, it is a nice opportunity to reset and add some real weight to resolutions.

I have been about 50/50. The things like fitness, adjusting diet, lack of drinking, getting more sleep and focusing on health, are all easy for me as I like all that. So I have stepped it all up and am sticking with it. Big time.

But learning Spanish, watching a Master Class at least once a week, and a few others that I do not enjoy so much...I am waning on. I am resolving to pick them all back up, but it is not easy as I enjoy my limited down time.

Curious about others that might have set them, and how they are doing...

I’ve stuck with mine so far. It is pretty simple though, just significantly cutting down my frivolous daily spending. My better half has stuck with hers as well (workout at least 300 times this year) she’s already at like 21 workouts.

Good luck to all in your journey to better health and happiness in 2022!!

I wanted to start drinking less in 2022 but these damn NFL playoffs make it hard!

lmao. I can relate to that.

every time I take a break from drinking though, I love it. I sleep super and my digestive system works so much better. I do a dry January every year, but I am thinking that I will keep this going definitively.

both of those are on my list. fitness and spending. both of those are going well, if you dont count the continued fitness gear I keep buying...

but seriously, I have downsized significantly and I plan to continue the trend.

My main resolution was to revamp the homestead.
Cleaning, painting, replacing, whatever's needed.
One room at a time with a room-a-month calendar.
So far so good.

I started two days early this year to get a head start - eating right and also started talking more German again to make sure I don’t forget it.

I have always struggled with my weight (if I flick through a cookery book, I put weight on) and started off in November to use a gym, pool and my home fitness machines fully. I have kept with it so far. I have never been a big drinker but am maybe drinking one bottle of wine every month to 6 weeks. I am eating better as well.

I am at that place where I feel guilty if I don't do some daily fitness, but I still give myself a day off a week.
