It is great shape with box and papers.

That seems like a lot of $ to me, but I am not DD expert. I would have to think that the ask is not too far from MSRP during that time

It might just be me, but that watch looks like it got a wonky polish in that pic.

It's been a while since I looked at Day Dates this old, but I want to say 10k-15k was the price range when I was looking a few years back. And even then I think they were 90s and early 2000s.

Well its not really a desirable combination / will appeal to a limited amount of people. Way overpriced. You can get a BNIB DD40 grey for just a little more.

Shape isn't great or even fair. It's had a fairly poor refinish job done on it. It's a pawno watch. Guy is nuts.

seems high to me, but I will say if all those diamonds are factory, combined with the bark bracelet (if original to the watch), i'd guess it's a pretty rare.

If your budget allows - why not go for a day date 40?

Vintage day dates are good value for those who want 36mm with budget of $10-15kish range.
