REVIEW: 2018 OMEGA Seamaster Diver 300m

Hey,

In this video, which is probably my personal favourite released to date, I take a look over the newly release Omega Seamaster, and will soon compare with the Rolex Sub.

If you are a fan of macro footage, I think you will appreciate this:

Just discovered this channel the other day. You do a great job and the cinematography is on point. Keep it up.

if I had a need for a dress watch I would be all over the panomatic lunar maybe with grey dial

I think my VC Overseas or my GMT II is about as close as I get to a dress watch

look forward to the next one

by the way did Omega sort out the dial issues that you had?

I did, Omega were amazing to be honest. I'll either do a post here, or a short video on the issue.
Thank you for the support.

Wow! Cinematography is superlative, as is all of your information about the watch. Yes, disappointing a bit about some of the quality control issues.

Almost perfect watch. IMO Omega should have kept a solid case back, with the Omega Seahorse, or Hippocampus as I believe is the correct term. I can understand their pride in the movement, however, and where the lack of solid case back would have been a deal breaker, the more I see of this watch, the more that becomes less important. The watch really is now a serious consideration.

Thanks for your time and efforts on this wonderful video.

Cheers,
Carl

Good review; lots of relevant info in a reasonable amount of time, plus better than usual photography. Thanks!

For those interested. He just posted a great comparison review against the Submariner. Have to admit that I completely agree with the comments. The Rolex looks much classier and elegant especially with the way the oyster bracelet tapers to the clasp.
The Sumariner's look is timeless and simple but still quite beautiful.
Being objective, the Seamaster is the clear winner for me as well. But the decision is very difficult because the Sub has that magic sauce, so the solution would be to get a black Submariner, and a blue Seamaster.

cant really agree - I had a sub c and the super case just looks odd to me - if I wanted another sub I personally would buy a late 5 digit reference as I like the lugs of a watch to flow into the bracelet
