Fact is in the end one cost 2.5x the price and your not getting a 2.5x better watch. Your paying for what’s written on the dial.
Agree.
I am a huge Rolex and Breitling fan and never considered an Omega........until I saw this beauty.
At the price point, incredible watch that anyone who is a WIS can certainly appreciate and enjoy in their collection.
I just got some new found extra cash today that may make this happen sooner, rather than later, but at the right price.

Lol

If it had Rolex written on the dial of the omega it would make it no more desirable than what it already is to me...

Put it this way if you could buy either at 3k which would you buy? No need to reply, just think about that for a moment.

As for the box a watch comes in that makes no diff to me personally
the presentation does make a difference and the rolex boxes are poor imo

as to which one would I buy if the prices were the same - that is a pointless question cos there never has been a time when a sub and a seamaster cost the same and there never will be - but I sold my sub c and I have a seamaster now so I guess that is my answer

as to which is better - probably the sub but the gap is way too small given the price difference

Same here,
If it wasn’t for the WatchFinder video I would never know about this watch.
I’ve tried it on and was very impressed with it.

Looks really nice. I am keen on the grey dial but the blue really stands out in the photo

I do not own an Omega but i think at the price point the particular Omega is more value.
Value arguments aside, it is a gorgeous watch to behold and wear.

Hard to believe they ever lost the wave.

If Bond wears the grey dial--it wil be the demand leader.

It’s been a slow release. Was available at greys 2 months ago, boutiques a month ago and ADs are starting to get them now.

3 months from now they will be in stock everywhere. Don’t believe everything you hear from your AD

I'll gladly buy one for 3k or so. May take a year but I can wait.

I must have been living under a rock, I had a previous Black Seamaster 300 Ceramic and thought it fabulous, I didn't like the waves on the other earlier dials but think this new watch is an absolute beauty.

I am very tempted by the blue dial.

Just ordered mine Tuesday and the AD got it today. I got the last one... These things are flying off the ADs:

1. You can't find Subs anywhere
2. SMP300 is arguably a better watch - ceramic dial, better movement than an obsolete 3135
3. $4,800 vs $9,000

I pulled the trigger at £3300 and no regrets but I did have a part ex so the price to swap was more key to me than the lowest retail price - and the free omega Nato helped as well

mine was an unworn watch sourced 14 days ago from a very well known omega AD so if the watch was resold at a profit for £3300 maybe £3000 is doable now?

probably as ever having a relationship with an AD is crucial in getting the best deals
