Some selected AP stores have received prototypes from SIHH19.
The 15500 is a fine piece!

Looks interesting, dial a bit bare. Does it wear smaller or the same as 400?

The AP boutique in BH is scheduling appointments now to come and see the new SIHH releases early/mid next month.

When I stopped by about a week ago to look around and have a chat, they were pushing the "exclusive" factor of the new Code line super hard in advance of the showing next month. I am hoping when I show up they'll take a 50% deposit on a blue 15500

Haha! They produced more 15400 silver in the “lifespan” of this référence that they would produce of blue for 15400 & 15500 combined.

Do you have any input on how it wears/feels/looks compared to the 15400? I realize the 15500 is an incremental upgrade in many respects, but things could be very different in person.

I don’t own a 15400.
I was positively surprised by the 15500 vs first impressions from photos.
Same applies to the Code 11.59 which I tried as well but as a first AP my choice will definitely go toward an RO.

Ah lucky you. I called to ask them about this. They said they offer no such events to showcase the new units. We just have to wait until they are released. Clearly being lied to...

I just gave a 25% deposit on a blue 15500. I was advised it will arrive in June or July

I tried the 15500 on yesterday at Watches & Wonders in Miami.
I was told they already have a waiting list and are requiring a 20% deposit. Deliveries to start in June.
I asked how long before I could get this grey one and was told closer to the end of this year given the current waitlist.

CEO should be fired for approving this most generic design one could use.

Would you feel the same about firing the CEO IF, big IF, the CODE 11.59 somehow brings in more revenue than projected?

AP 15400 vs 15500

Grey 15500 looks great on your wrist! Thanks for letting us know the time frame. My AD also mentioned June as well.

My money is on it won’t. Nobody in their right mind would pay premium for an AP that looks identical to a $100 watch (and I’m being generous).

And they’re launching only PM variants which is a complete joke.

Hmm, was thinking the minute track would slim the dial but the watch still looks quite wide there.

Agree looks a bit bare without that “automatic” on the bottom to fill up space. Wonder if it will look better on if/when they release the smaller version of this (15550?) ?

So I spent the last couple days at Watches & Wonders in Miami. The AP booth, not surprisingly, occupied the largest area in the pop up boutiques section.

They are really pushing the Code 11.59 line. They probably had all the variants on display. However, none of the new RO or ROO on display.
I asked if they had the 15500 for me to see. She responded by saying "Have you seen the new code line?" I said yes, but I'm interested in the 15500. She then proceeded to show me the Code 11.59 on her wrist. I said that's nice but do you have the RO here? She says yes, they're in the back room and I was getting the impression that I needed an appointment to see them. She went and spoke to another associate and after a few minutes they brought me in this tiny room with a display case with all the RO and ROO and a desk and chairs for private viewing.

Apparently they were doing it this way for security reasons.
However, some of the other manufactures had no issues taking out $200,000+ pieces and letting us see them without being in a private room.

So anyway, I was ready to put down a deposit to get on the list for the gray 15500. They took down my information and basically told me that they will get back to me and that it will be difficult to obtain this piece and I would have to wait for a while.

I wasn't too impressed with their customer service as I had to wait around for quite some time to be able to speak to someone, and after telling them I was ready to buy the piece, I couldn't get a straight answer on whether I would be able to or not, or whether I would be put on the list or not. Yes, they were busy, but so were many of the other manufacturers, but all the others were more welcoming and eager to help out and make a sale.

Never dealt with Beverly Hills Boutique, but all good with Bal Harbour, so maybe should avoid references to BH Boutique. :-)

They were probably told to push for sales on the new code line, and steer everyone away from the RO at all cost, since they would have no problem selling them.
