PAM 590 Millesimation

Hello everyone,

Quick millesimation question regarding the PAM 590.

I know the reference was created under Q serie in 2014 with 1000 units for USA market only.

It was followed by R, S, T series in 2015, 2016, 2017 with each serie made of 2000 units.

I saw on davidsw.com a U serie with a picture of the back case where it states that it is a 600 units serie

Questions:
- Does it mean it will be the last serie of this reference and they are just finishing the batch?
- Isn’t a bit “unfair” (from Panerai) to have this smaller serie at the end of the reference? I mean OK they are all the same watches in the end but I am sure it will in the end be advertised as the “600 units” blablabla more difficult to find.

Thanks

T

Series numbers can change from year to year, and any change is not indicative of future production.

Ok then thanks for your answer. Still find it weird but I guess that do whatever they want with their production

To me, that "600 units" means very little. Like you said, they are all the same watch through out the production year. The only difference to me is if you want a later / newer watch? From AD maybe?
