Just because I can

It's always great to hear about people's grail watches, and there are certainly a coupld of expensive ones I desire. But, everytime I look at this one, I could happily live with it as my only watch for the remainder of the years. It's almost coming up to 1 year since I bought it in downtown Manhattan, and I'm as happy as the day I got it.

I have to agree with you there Otis. That Speedy Pro is one helluva watch with a ton of history behind it.

I'd have to say a Lange would likely be my holy grail watch, but it aint gonna happen. Be that as it may, I am very partial to my SD.

Thanks for the welcome. I've owned the Exp I (twice for a few months) and now into a no date sub with great satisfaction. I've a vintage GMT coming. Perhaps a white Exp II next?

Greg

Aaah, speedy pro!

My displayback was the ONLY watch I ever turned a profit on.

Very nice indeed. Looking at the picture of the Omega engraved on the domed crystal makes me regret even more selling my speedy pro back in 1997. That was a cool watch, and I'd love to have another.

Is that a floating OMEGA sign on the crystal?

I know that some OMEGA models have their horseshoe logo etched onto the very centre of the crystal.
