Incoming after 5 weeks

Well, it's not a watch... but after just over five weeks, the AD called to let me know they received the bracelet I ordered for my Speedmaster. I originally purchased the watch on the black nylon strap and wanted to add the brushed steel bracelet as an option.

Nylon strap:

Steel bracelet:

I was a little surprised it took this long to order from Omega, but I wasn't in any kind of hurry and it was a good pretext to stop by the AD once or twice. What do y'all think, nylon or steel? I've got a feeling I'll go back to the nylon again but I'm enjoying the new look for now!

The steel looks pretty swanky but the nylon has that adventurous James Bond vibe. Both are beautiful

Looks great-

I ordered mine on nylon as well, it should be in any day!

I have been back and forth on whether I should have ordered it on steel and then gotten the nylon as secondary. My AD threw in a NASA velcro strap as well.

I was not a huge fan of the steel bracelet for the sapphire or the hesalite, but figured I might want it for resale or just to have a set.

May I ask what the AD charged for the steel bracelet?

It's definitely worth having both bracelets! I did it the other way around and paid 500€ for the Cordura strap including the folding clasp.

The bracelet was $763.25 including sales tax. I’m sure there is an optimal way to approach getting both the strap and bracelet but I didn’t plan it that carefully!

I like the steel but there’s no shortage of steel bracelets out there. The nylon is something different and in my opinion Omega executed it very well.

Thank you and I agree about the nylon. It felt way better on my wrist. Plus, I have 3 stainless watches already, and a Pelagos FXD that I switch between NATO and Erika strap, and a Casio on rubber, so I feel like the nylon will be a good way to switch it up.

My friend ordered the rubber strap for his. Waiting to see it in person- I like the look in pictures but I feel it is not as "natural" for the speedmaster being a non-diver watch.

Strap for winter, bracelet for summer.

Is that the bracelet with the new extension feature?

If yes, can you post pics of the mechanism.

Yes, this is the new bracelet with one step of adjustment. There’s a small tab that engages a catch in the clasp; I’d estimate it’s about 2 or 2.5mm difference between the positions.
