I really wish I can say it was just a bad breakup. But there wasn't even any romance to begin with. That guy came on way too strong and has no clue how to converse normally, let alone start wooing me with all things Moda.

I already stopped responding to him and he still keeps taking potshots at me (see above).

So he's looking more and more like a disgruntled suitor

Watch closely, he'll respond to this post with another potshot at me and you'll see how sad and miserable he is. If he keeps it up he'll graduate from being a disgruntled suitor to a stalker LOL

Sheesh. Can’t we all just get along through our love for watches instead of picking on one another? I mean, I get it but it’s not even worth arguing over.

That seems like the east way out to me. Just because you don’t agree with someone’s opinion, you erase them completely from your feed? Seems like a quick way to make everyone think they’re completely right and stand by that argument even more in the long run.

I would suggest tolerance and respecting others opinions over just blocking them.

If they know you, the end user, they do the same thing. My jeweler has shipped potential gifts for my wife multiple times with me not paying anything until I was sure it was the right gift for my wife. No credit card holds, it's all cash...they just trust you.
You hit the nail on the head!

* This works because it's a small industry and they all know each other.
* If they know you, the end user, they do the same thing.

If you're part of the Moda group, know people there, and are comfortable with the process, then you can benefit from the wholesale prices.

The problem here is that most people are not even aware of Moda, let alone actively participate in that Facebook group.

Thus, we always have to be aware of two markets: the wholesale market and the secondary retail market.

It's all about your risk tolerance and how much work you want to put in. For some people, they are fine with doing the leg work in Moda. For others, they are fine with paying the premium on the secondary retail market for the convenience and the peace of mind.

You make a very good point, especially with regards to tolerance and respect.

However, the main thing I regret for not doing in this thread is to quickly block the disrespectful and belittling comments aimed towards me from the start (see comments from 10 November 2022, 08:06 AM and onwards).

Acknowledging and considering other people's viewpoints only work if the other party is respectful from the start. If that's not apparent from the start, then I believe blocking the offending party quickly is justified.
