Hi all,
Just thought I'd post some information about myself since I plan to post on this forum. I mostly post on Watchuseek and the Seiko Citizen Watch Forum (under the same ID). I live in the Austin, Texas area and have been collecting pretty seriously for about 7 years now. I started off collecting Japanese vintage watches (due to the low cost, high quality, and abundance of models/styles) and then slowly starting collecting Swiss. I tend to specialize in military, divers, and chronographs--both modern and vintage. My first Rolex product was the Tudor Heritage Chronograph, which I purchased a few years ago, and then I followed that up with a Black Bay diver. I thought for the longest time that Rolex watches were unnecessary or overpriced, but now that I have purchased my first Rolex (a used ref. 16570 Explorer II) from a member of this board, I totally get it. Rolex makes truly special watches and the craftsmanship is just incredible. I hope to acquire more Rolex watches in the near future, including the new Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39mm, while still collecting other Swiss and Japanese models. Thanks, Steve E. |
