Date or No Date

went to the AD to try on the subs before I buy Im leaning more towards No date, I like it and the price is less. My question will I regret not spending the extra $1k for the date?

I don't know. Do you like/want/need a date?

If you like it better than go with it. If you are just trying to save money, don't be cheap and get the date. Just my opinion.

I doubt that you would regret it, but you should be able to answer that question for yourself.

Are you dependent on your watch for the date now?

Do you really need to ascertain the date more than once a day?

Do you have a pocket calendar or a cell phone?

Can you say, "Do you know the date?"

If you answer yes to any of the above, you can live without a date on your watch and you'll have a clean-looking classic on your wrist.

Do you think you will regret no date?

Do you find yourself checking your current watch for the date???

I agree with this...If you don't get the date to save $1000 you will regret it.
IF you don't get the date b/c you don't want a date or like a date then you won't regret it.

I bought with date as its now recognised as the classic Sub, and without it its a bit too plain for me and I know Id get bored quicker as I look at my watches alot, plus with the AR on the cyclops you get a nice Black Hole effect too.

I prefer the cleaner look of my 114060 to my 116610 LV!

I use the date function often, chalk it up to a bad memory, but love the balanced look of the original sub

I have an LV and the sub c no date and prefer the clean lines of the no date. Can't go wrong either way.

I thought the original Sub was non-date so would say that is the "classic" sub if there is such a thing. I have both because I couldn't decide which I liked more. I'm sure I'm not alone in that on here.

I got a No-date because I liked it's looks better and I don't really need the date.

I had exactly the same dilema for my first sub.

In the end the choice was forced on me as I wanted a ceramic sub with the new bracelet, the non date sub was not available in ceramic at the time hence I bought the Sub C with date.

Well im glad I bought the date version as I use it all the damn time to check the date. Couldnt live without it!!

I hear you Mickey®, I now understand your initial gripe with the classic Subs vs. the Ceramic iterations, if I were more intune with the Vintage Subs I would have had your same exact sentiments... Good thing my vintage eye was only on the 1655

Thanks by the way!

I use the date function often on all my watches so I personally prefer it. I will agree that it is a cleaner look with no date. Comes down to your preference.
