Christmas gift for the wife

Looking for some suggestions...

I was thinking about getting my wife a nice ballpoint pen for Christmas. She likes the fine point Zebra F-301 ballpoint pens, and doesn't like gel pens/rollerball pens.

The Zebra F301 is a reasonably slim pen, but a little thicker than the traditional Cross slim pens.

I was targeting about $100, but that's not a hard ceiling. The pen needs to be reasonably durable, as there's a possibility the kids can get their hands on it, and then who knows what it will be used for.

Thanks in advance for the input!

Here's what the Zebra looks like, for what it's worth:

I don't think you could go far wrong with Faber Castell's ambition range. they make high quality pens and this range fit's your needs I think.
The come in a wide range of finishes including brushed metal, wood or colours such as these.

Here is a link to an excellent online seller who has them for sale for between $70-$140 depending on finish (the coconut wood finish is the most expensive, the bright colours are the cheapest!

Use the drop down menu to go through the colour options!

Thanks for the input...I'll take a peek, but the initial pics you showed look very promising!

Thanks.

Your welcome, they are very stylish pens indeed and are capable of handling anything you can throw at them! Oh yes, the are really good writers.
There are others out there but this is a Christmas present and Faber really know how to make something look and feel expensive!

Have to agree. The FC's are great pens!

The Diplomat Balance is a cool looking pen too. Definitely worth considering

I happen to love Pelikan pens and the beauty of this brand is that the pens are attractive, light weight and therefore comfortable, plus they accept both gel and ballpoint refills. Moreover, their customer service is par excellent as I discovered recently when my 25 year old Pelikan pen broke and they replaced it with a brand new one. You know your wife's taste better than anyone here. There are some good suggestions on this thread. Check out the possibilities, see which pen seems most congruent with her taste, and let us know your final decision. Good luck!!!

Thanks, Faith! I've browsed the Pelikan pens, but have not looked them over good. I'll take a peek!
