Question on vintage links

Hi guys, I don't know how to upload videos here so I've left a link. I hope it can be played. Anyway, the video shows two removal links. One is from a Kermit 16610LV on 93250 bracelet 2006, and the other is from a Coke 16710 on 78790 bracelet from 1995.

You'll notice that the link from the Kermit is somewhat retractable, and the link from the Coke isn't. Appreciate if someone could shed some light on the differences, thanks!

Sorry, what does pinched mean exactly in this context?
