Bought Two New “Beaters” Now I Dont Want To Beat One

I rotate all my luxury watches daily (Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Ulysses Nardin etc) since I wear suit and tie almost every day and even the rare days where I am not in a suit I still rock the less dressy watches (Sub, Moonwatch etc) with a short sleeve polo.

However once every few months I need to actually do something that requires breaking a sweat, getting dirty or going into the water. So for those occasions, I bought a Quartz Tag and Quartz Citizen. And it shames me to say it, I LOVE the Citizen Promaster Aqualand Eco Drive.

Now I dont want to beat on the Citizen. Cheapest watch I own, and I fell in love. For those of you that havent checked out Citizen Eco Drive do it! If you arent too snobby of course. For those that have please share the love (or hate) in the replies.

P.S. I am going to spank the hell out of the Tag

Funny how that works isn’t it? My least expensive watch is my Speedy that I picked up 10years ago for $1500. I love that watch despite having others that cost much more.

I bought a citizen eco-drive 200 metre diver as well..using as a beater.set and 4get .great bang for the buck...when wearing and storing, I respect it on the same level as the more luxurious offerings in the stable namely 5 digit Sub date and tag Pepsi GMT Aquaracer....sorry no pics...just 2 hard to upload...

They really are great watches and I am surprised.

I have a titanium eco-drive that I wear almost everyday. Although sometimes a bit too sporty it is super comfortable, it has date, chrono, and quick time zone change functions that I often use and I feel OK keeping it on for light duty manual work.

Great watch for the money.

I like Citizen now, funny to own $5K-10K watches then a $200 one.

Still not into Seiko though.

Tag looks pretty cool. I’m a sucker for orange though.

My daily beater I’d a DJ41, my first Rolex. I don’t intend on leaving home every morning looking for manual labor, but sometimes it just finds me, from baling hay to beating the ground with a post hole digger. Still looks great, but I do have a few scratches. Now, if I know I’m going into battle ahead of time I will throw on my G-Shock Rangeman. I’m not embarrassed to say I love that watch.
