Icon20 Opinion on this Ellipse?

Hello guys,

i am currently looking for a PP Ellipse and this model caught my attention. The owner doesn't know the reference and the only similar model i found was ref. 3748 in yellow gold. I could not find any information on this exact model in white gold.

Whats your opinion on this reference and condition / authenticity? What is it worth in your eyes?

Thanks!

Most obviously, the crown looks off. Not too many out there with a jeweled crown, and those I've found images of have an onyx which appears thinner and more pronounced than that one. Aside from that, comparing to some photos of the 3748 that I can be certain are genuine, the clasp, and the embossed Calatrava cross look sloppy and I don't think PP ever stamped the case back with "18k" the way this one has.

Finally, the only images I've found of an Ellipse with a marker-less dial (save for one vintage one in a very different style) are on sites ADVERTISING FAKES.

I have never seen an Ellipse without markers. Tha is the most glaring thing to me. If they do exist please enlighten me.
