I have exactly same watch PO8500, I bought 10 years ago for less than $3000 brand new.
Keep it!

I have the same PO and love the watch. I also have a sub date. Similar but different. I purchased an Omega black rubber strap for the PO. Now while they're still similar, it's a totally different look / feel. If the rubber strap options appeals to you, that might be enough of a difference to justify both?

Definitely keep both. You can wear the BLNR as your primary, but I would keep that PO around. You won't get a ton of money for it and there will be instances and places where you will feel more comfortable with the PO vs the Rolex. Rolex draws a lot more attention, some of which may be unwanted, so the Omega will make a great watch to wear in certain situations. Both are great watches and as you mentioned the Omega carries a lot of memories with it.

Definitely keep the PO if it reminds you of the hard work you put in, sentimental value cannot be replaced. You cannot go back in time and buy that watch for that specific occasion.

I've always had a PO, despite the PPs and APs, etc, so I'd keep both.

I've regretted selling a watch I had history with in the past. I'm leaning towards keeping both if I were you!

Keep it, it’s the perfect vacation watch. (In addition to regular rotation)

The PO has been with you through a lot.
On that basis I wouldn’t ever sell it unless you really will never wear it and your taste has changed.

I would keep both of your watches, I used mine 126710BLNR as mine Mon-Fri watch to wear to the office, and leave my diving watch Submariner(116610LV) on the weekend as it is more casual.......

I think it would work out for you also......a GMT and a diving watch makes a perfect combo!

Current collection: 1) Rolex Submariner(116610LV), 2) Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional(311.30.42.30.01.006), 3) Rolex GMT-Master II(126710BLNR), 4) Breitling B01 Navitimer 43(AB0138211B1A1)

The watch never had issues, went with me all over the world, great workhorse.

For last months I have BLNR and really love it. It is smaller than PO, subtle, to me it's more refined (maybe still honeymoon period) and wear much more comfortable.

Now I do not know if to sell PO (don't need that money that urgent, but would use them on a bike) or keep them and wear them later, when honeymoon period is over.

I do not want to make BLNR as "special watch" it is professional line, stainless steel, I want to wear them as they should be, and for "not sure" environments I have Garmin's.

Did this happened to you as well? Or did you sell, and then regret?
Keep the PO. It marks the completion of your degree. It should have some sentimental value to you.

Your BLNR is a beautiful watch, my favourite Rolex GMT. It completely outclasses the Omega, which is in my opinion an ugly, clunky watch. But I´m rather biased here, as nothing in the Omega line-up appeals to me. Just to be safe (and to avoid "sellers regret") keep both for a few months. I´m sure you´ll then get rid of the Omega and keep that lovely BLNR! And buy a nice bike!

I have the orange bezel PO and I still love it, but over the years it has become mainly my vacation watch, I rather loose it then my Rolex I guess while vacationing.

If you can keep it, you should because of the sentimental value, or like others say, keep it for a while first, then decide.

Keep them both unless you really need the money. Something with sentimental value can't be replaced.

I also have a Seamaster (not PO though), which was my first mechanical watch that I bought, and was a birthday gift to myself. Despite having other watches, including a BLNR, I'll never sell the SM. Sometimes I get bored with the BLNR, but my SM will always be special to me. It is also versatile with straps, so you can transform it whenever you fancy.

I view a watch as a piece of jewelry, if I am not wearing it, i move it on. I only have 2 watches, an SD43 that I wear most days and a Sky Dweller SS blue on Jubilee that I wear for dressier occasions. Other than that I have an Apple Watch. Those three are all I will probably ever need.

The only space where I pick an Omega over a Rolex is the Speedmaster.
I do not know why, I have had a few and always sell the Daytona. There is just something about it that doesn't grab me.
I know Im the minority here and Im not saying one is better than the other just that I like the Speedie more than the Daytona.
