Never see a 16618 Gold sub in the wild

Why is it that the 16618 submariner is never seen i. The wild?

A current reference or 11 series solid gold sub is rarely seen in the wild and if you go back to the 5-digit, the sightings will likely be even fewer.

Firstly I’d say it’s due to price and then followed by personal preference. Many that go for a solid gold Rolex will opt for a DD over a sports model.

Yeah, I'm trying to remember how many 18K Rolexes I've seen that weren't Day Dates of some flavor. Just offhand, I remember a guy that was a regular at a movie theatre I worked at in the early 90's that had an 18K Zenith Daytona on a bracelet. I was already into Rolex at that time (but poor as a church mouse) and admired it every time he came in.

That will change if you visit Florida as they seem to be very popular from Miami to Jacksonville.

I've seen plenty in Florida, especially the blue dial. It's the rich man's boating watch.

I don’t see many Rolexes around generally, but weirdly saw one of these on wrist the other day near my AD. It’s a beautiful watch!
