Wouldn't that watch be cheaper in the UK due to the euro/sterling exchange rate?
I've been to the AD on Rhodes, and by the look of it the guy in the store lives off the million euro yachting people in Rhodes harbour, as he wasn't the least interested in me when I was in the store....

Rhodes would be the most expansive island in the whole of Greece. I wonder if the AD would even bother give you discounts.

Rose Gold Daytona 116505 .I cant find a UK dealer with one in stock , I called Rolex sales and they confirmed what WOS told me they are out of stock for 8 wks . If anyone knows the Greek Price please advise . My sister is married to a Greek guy and I am sure they can sort out the discount side off things but it is what the starting point is .They live in Lindos about 20 mins from Rhodes |

i tried buying from Crete earlier this year from an AD, their VAT / Taxes are higher than ours, was after a 116610LV which they had for €6800 when UK price was £5200, even after discount it was STILL more than the UK price. have you checked out the independent UK dealers, they often give better deals & if you've got the cash a HTF/sold out watch can often be found

Why bother with AD's. Get the watch from trusted sellers here on TRF.
Better prices and it comes to your door. You dont even have to leave home! |

The price of Rose Gold Daytona 116505 in the September 2010 catalogue is
Eur 25,340.00. But there has been a price increase since then. The way the Greek ecomomy is you may get lucky and score a good discount. |

Your arguement is flawed. You will still have to convert your Sterling to Euros if you want to buy in Greece Also buying in Greece and getting delivered to your home in England, you wil be hit with a tax. I suggest to contact DavidSW, Oscar, Mosco or any of the trusted sellers here and they can tell you how things work. The amount of time this thread has been going on, by now you could have had a watch delivered to your place. Buying on Greece and getting delivered to your home in England, you will be hit with a tax. |

Not bargain of the century but if you can't get one before the presumed price rise in the UK then maybe this one:
