Help!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the group and am about to buy a 'Rolex Oysterdate Precision' and have given a deposit.
I know the seller and he assures me it's all good and it's a 1950's model.
The problem I have is that I've been 'Googling' and noticed that the dial and hands don't have any luminous markers ( pic enclosed) and all the others that I've seen DO have luminous details?
I'm confused as the seller is quite a well know watch dealer.
many thanks in advance :)

Non luminous is ok for this watch, but it's 1960s or later, not 1950s.

Thank you 'Old Expat Beast' much appreciated, but the dial says 'T SWISS T' and looking through the threads that would seem to indicate that it should have luminous markers and hands?? I'm confused :/

Thanks Dave,
Now I'm getting somewhere. I asked for info via Facebook and got some negative replies so I'm feeling easier about the deal now that I've joined this forum. Any more comments are most welcome......I just don't want to end up with a Frankenstein Rolex.....

Ive seen many in that era that say t swiss t without any lume present. Not uncommon. Most likely the dial was already printed prior to assembly so all watches got t swiss t dials.
The styling of the dial and hands if from the mid to late 60's with the stick hands. Ask the seller to give you the serial number and you can verify the age of the watch. If the serial is from the 50s then the dial and hands may be later service replacements.

Help!

I think you are looking at a 6694 manual wind model unless I'm wrong. Call the seller and ask for the model number and serial number - then check the lists to discover '50's vs. '60's. As for the dial, T SWISS T, remember that a watch of that vintage could easily have replacement hands by now. The originals could have had tritium lume on them.
If it is truly '50's then they also came with dauphine hands with a thin stroke of lume in a center groove.

Thank you 77T. I'll see the seller this Friday so I can check. My only real concern was that the T SWISS T denotes Lume and this doesn't have any. I might add that it's only $700.

Now that I look at it closer, it probably did have the daphne hands originally. The stick hands should have stick markers. Those markers are for daphne hands.
