Hello, just wondering if anyone can let me know their opinion on my 1675. I do not have much info, owned for a year or so now, had it serviced by Rolex and they replaced the 'crystal', I have the old one. There is a flea bite at O hour.
Wondering if dial etc are original in your opinions or replacements then also a value would be great, however not looking to sell, just curious. Thank you |

From the pictures and judging from the patina on the dial and on the hands I would think that Rolex has not teplaced them during the service. I would probably think that they are original to the watch.
There is a lot of info on this forum regarding the series of the dial etc. You could determine that easily on your own by comparing the serial number and by looking at this threads! The watch seems very nice indeed! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The dial is a Mark I. The Mark I dials can be found up to the late 2 million serial number range.
Based on your 2.9 million serial number, the case back is correct. The bezel insert is a later replacement insert. The Jubilee bracelet is also a later replacement. The Bufkor box is not correct for circa 1971 watches, it is from the 1980s. Enjoy your GMT!!!

Looks like a very nice example, love the colors.
As far as value, your best bet is to check this forum and other available sites for asking and/or sold prices.. That should give you an idea. What is it being offered to you for? |

I think a lot of people like to know what their watches are worth regardless of their wanting to sell or not. People in general are interested in knowing the value of their possessions.

Couldn't agree more. Whether it's natural curiousity, or wanting to know what one should value it for insurance purposes, I don't see why asking is a problem.

I own it, have for a while now, paid not a lot for it, then did a service, cost me 1300ish. I was thinking 8000ish US but that might be because I am a dreamer. Lol

say what you want - there is a reason no one is answering your value question.

Carry on, this site has helped me make two wise informed purchases privately. You have helped annoy me. Twice. Pls pay attention to someone else, I dont need or appreciate your negativity.

To be clear to Mods and well...anyone else, I have bought two Rolexes privately, both researched on this site and both bought at a great price. I purchased a 1675 shown above and a 5513 shown in another thread on this site that isn't more than a couple weeks old.
I have bought a watch for 2 out of 3 daughters now. I think I am going to buy a newer blue/black GMT or perhaps newer Sub for my third daughter. They are 3(Twins) and a newborn. I absolutely will not sell these watches, think I have made that clear, I was simply asking based on more experienced eyes than mine to figure out if my watch was original or not. Then I asked if based on those opinions if I could get a value. Then later clarified for proper insurance, I am still looking for that, but my research says a hopeful man could get 8000 U.S. currently. I'm hoping that I can be told that I'm crazy or on the money. Apologies that this other...person...has a problem with me and what I'm asking but my request is genuine and I have done research but I want to know if 8k is realistic or what. Thanks and to my nemesis, go bother someone else, I'm trying to enjoy this forum and my watches. |

First of all congratulations on your nice family! It is a very nice gesture what you are doing for them!
I would say that your estimate is perhaps a slightly ambitious. You can currently get some good examples around the $6500 ball park Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't need to go anyway because I haven't broken any forum rules. You on the other hand, keeping pushing the boundaries. I'll let you have the last say because I know that's the type of person you are. |
