Vintage Vacheron Constantin 1940s intro

Hi,
I am new to this forum, and by way of introduction I wanted to share a pic of a vintage watch of mine, it's a Vacheron Constantin from the 1940s, obviously the band is not original (and I don't really care for it) it is in white gold. It's a manual winder, the face is original, but I has the Glass replaced and a full tune up done not too long ago at Aaron Faber in Manhattan.
I put a favorite folding knife of mine in the pic, it is a Scagel knife in Pre-Ban Elephant Ivory.

Would love to hear everyones thoughts on the watch, and any info about it would be appreciated.

Very nice! I really like the simplicity of the watch and the way the lugs are shaped... kind of has an Omega feel to it.

Personally, I think the band looks real nice on the watch.

The ivory knife is a classic as well.

You're welcome.

The lugs look aesthetically pleasing in the way they are shaped much like the Omega Speedmaster Professional and the Seamaster Professional Chronometers. I quite like it.

Love it.
I've been after something similar for quite a while.

The typeface on the Roman numerals is amazing.
Do you what model it is?

Thank you very much, Although my Rolexes are what I wear daily, this is nice for special occasions.

Stunning watch, I'm a big fan of vintage VC (or V&C as it were).
