Ladies from 1969

Mother-in-law states this was bought in 1969. What model might this be? Of course next question is - potential worth?

Fake?

I'm now questioning whether this is even real. She's kept it for 40 years and once one of you tell me it's never been a Rolex, I'm tempted to not even tell her.

Please experts let me know.

You would need very clear and close up pics of the dial, the back, the clasp, any markings, etc. for evaluation.
Most of these ladies cocktail watches have lost appeal/popularity over the years so their demand is minimal and usually only have worth based on their precious metal or precious stone content.

But is it feasible that this type of Rolex actually existed?

^^^^ Not a whole lot of vintage/collectible value but perhaps sentimental? This style was popular 'back in the day' when women still wore hats and white gloves as everyday apparel.

This antique Rolex dealer in the UK might be able to help you. Maybe text a pic to him for an ID and valuation.

Thanks. What's confusing is I see some selling for thousands and of course some that are not worth anything. I suppose an AD would know?

Just because they are asking thousands, doesnt mean they are selling for thousands. That is unless you can prove the case was made by Tiffany or Faberge, or some other high end gold maker.

We can help you here, no need to take them all the way to the UK. You just need to post some detailed pics so that we can see what you actually have.
