Smudge inside crystal looking for advice.
I purchased this watch from a seller in Turkey and it was delivered to Canada today. Trying to figure out if this smudge is condensation from the journey and if that is normal? It is a late 2016 watch so supposed to be practically new and never opened etc. Comes with all boxes and papers. The price was good so if its not a big issue I would like to keep it.

Seller found a pic before shipment that shows it so definitely not condensation. Omega will probably fix under warranty ?

Nice... you went with the DSOTM. How do you like the pushers? I know that was your sticking point with chronos.
I remember seeing a post on WUS where someone had a similar issue on a regular speedy and Omega fixed it under warranty. |

Hey Josh,
As mentioned over on OF, this looks like an issue with the external AR coating and not a smudge. I'm not sure how to know or show that this came from the factory with this defect or as a result of misuse. Also, is it a trick of the lighting and angle or is the "tachymetre" writing diminished compared to the rest of the bezel? If the writing is actually more faint, this would indicate abnormal wear after the factory. In that case, I recommend return to seller for refund and have them get it fixed up. |

I found a similar sized 'smudge' on the inside of my DSOTM appear after about a year of ownership from new. All sorted very quickly under warranty.

Cool watch. Let Omega sort it out. They typically handle things very quickly and well.

Keep us posted. From the pictures, it does look like an ar coating issue.

I had the same issue about 2 weeks ago, however, mine smudge was on the center of the crystal - very visible. I took it in and my dealer sent it off to Omega to be replaced (the whole crystal) under warranty.
