HELP ME! Seamaster 2254.50 [REAL] or [FAKE]?

I want to purchase a Seamaster 2254.50 from a trf member but after comparing the watch with stock photos, I'm not 100% convinced the watch is real. Here are the pictures the member provided. http://imgur.com/a/PpWLt

What concerns me the most is the scuffed bezel, especially the zero in the 30 at 6 o'clock. I haven't came across other Omegas where the bezel paint is coming off.

Other thing I want to know is has the watch been polished?

So is the Omega real or fake?

I'm not an expert on authenticity but looks good to me. Not sure if you are talking about the scratches on the bezel insert...I haven't seen many that age that don't have scratches.

I have a 2254 & no expert ,but looked at hundreds of pictures of this model & variants & looks to be in very good conditions to me . Its usually the insert & bezel that get damaged first but this one looks to be fine & the pins on the bracelet links can be a bit iffy ( the pins become loose & can fall out ) . But the watch is pretty bulletproof & the Lume is amazing on them even today . Pictures below of mine for comparison , Good luck .

I'm guessing you haven't come across many Omegas, then. it's not paint, by the way, it's anodized aluminum, and that is a simply a scuff through the anodization.

Look at the photos. Personally, if I were the seller and had provided those photos, I would find another buyer. This thread just shouts "not worth it," to me.

As a 2264.50 owner, I don't see anything about the exterior of this watch that looks off to me. Someone may have rebrushed the scratch-magnet clasp a few times, reducing the sharpness of the lettering, but it looks all Omega to me.

BTW, if you buy it, dislike the scratched bezel insert, and want to keep it all Omega, the insert is not sold seperately; you have to buy a new bezel, which is a few hundred U.S. dollars.
