AP 15400 Authentic ?

Can any AP experts tell if this watch is authentic? Also can you tell if it has been overpolished?
Thanks, Sam

Do they have better pictures of the crown and dial.

My first impression is that something is off. The "AP" on the dial should not have a space. It is a single piece and the middle between the "A" and the "P" should be solid white.

The "AP" on the crown should be centered, but I can't tell by the image.

Not my pic, but see attached:

Looks fine to me from the pics posted.

Typically it's the movement that gives it away.

Can't tell much from the quality of those pics but looks off. The fakes are very very good so be careful and never buy from someone you don't trust.

Rotor looks good but not sure that's the same watch as I don't like the dial or date.

From the front of the watch I'm 100% sure it's fake. The date window and the dial are the tells, as well as the thicker case. The picture of the back is probably from a different (genuine) watch.

Fake. The "P" of Piguet is also higher than the other letters. The names aren't on a straight line. Also as stated above the date is off and that gap btwn AP is quite clear

The poor quality 5 oclock bezel screw makes it hard to believe its real.

I saw this on eBay as well. My concern was that the picture of the movement looked like a stock photo and didn't look like it was done with the same camera as the others. Looked like a potential fake.
If I were considering buying I would need to talk to the seller and potentially FaceTime with the watch.

Its a replica, the caseback is too thick. High end ready made reps sits around close to 10.5mm, while gen is around 9.8mm if not mistaken.

Fake

I can even tell you which factory it's from in Shenzhen - it's known as the TF factory. The other version of this is from the JF factory

TF:
- sunburst effect much brighter than the Gen
- bezel screws much bigger
- date font is off
- tapisserie is correct shape, however but the dial colour is a big tell

With the JF rep:
- the biggest tell is the tapisserie is totally wrong, although the rest of the watch is very good quality. The tapisserie is round, not squared - thus like dimples

And I've got the Gen, as well as having the bought the rep before in Shenzhen. My Gen got it straight from the AP boutique
