Great looking watch. I am so torn between RN and Sticks.. thoughts to all who have a DD40?
The president bracelet makes the DD else it's just another run of the mill datejust on the outside.

so the face needs no extra accoutrements like the rather garish and ornate roman numerals. stick dial, yg, champagne is the all time greatest. all the other variations are fads, imho.

Sigh, that WG with green romans is just gorgeous. Might need to add to my wishlist, was not a fan of the DD2 but the DD40 proportions look so much better.

Very nice! Did you think beforehand which 228206 you will choose?. I am currently having trouble between the model you acquired, roman motif and baquette diamond. The photos you posted are so good because you certainly managed to capture the shine of platinum.

For me, the stick markers with ice dial is the one. I had the 36mm Roman with ice blue and sold it. Personally not a fan of diamond markers.

The champagne dial lacks contrast and is, to me, boring. On the 40 it really creates major open space. I do like the newer champagne color more which is lighter than the predecessor. I am not a big fan of the motifs and see them as a fad. My pick would be a silver stick, but not really offered on the DD40s for whatever reason. So each has his opinion on the point.

Just beautiful...all of your DD40s...and that pt diamond bezel masterpiece is stunning. Yours has the round diamonds but I believe they also made it with baguettes?

That "rolex rolex rolex" motif in the dial is stunning in 2d pictures but I bet it's even more amazing in real life 3D!

I only see couple of Champagne dials posted is it because it's the least desirable of all DD's or is it too flashy ? Why don't they have dials with stick markers without lume like 1803 or older models had.
