6239 Daytona

Hello. I am new to the forum. I was wondering if it is possible to know how many of a particular dial type were made. I have inherited a 6239 Daytona. Low 1,000,000 serial number. It is stainless steel with black dial. The Rolex and Cosmograph are above and separate from the Daytona. The outer ring goes to 300 units with the small unit measurements going up to 100. When I try to look up information there appears to be a lot of different variations. I would appreciate any info!

It's best to post a few clear pictures for everyone to see to get comments.

Nice watch!

As far as I know there are no records about the dial variations. So there are no exact numbers around that tell you how many dials of a specific type were produced.

Btw. these early pump pusher Daytonas are very sweet watches!

Always a good resource

http://stefanomazzariol.blogspot.com...ef.%206239?m=1

"The third 6239 production, with serials around 1.1 millions (around 1965) sees the birth of the DAYTONA writing, at first in
the American market, and later on in the rest of the world. The font has a small size and is placed at 12 o' clock below the
COSMOGRAPH writing, from which it is more or less at a distance, sometimes with a slightly different colour."
