that is the situation basically for every SS watch in the UK though. Minus the US, the BLNR doesn't seem to be sitting in AD cases in most countries.

Rang my AD re: BLNR or Hulk . . .

They basically said they get less than 1 per month and there are over 13 people on the waiting list for each . .

Well if there is a silver lining it's that these lists seem to have quite a high attrition rate. There's a good chance that fewer than half of those 13 will take up the offer when they get the call, so it might be sooner than you think

If they honour the list that is...

When I last spoke with my AD, he said he can get me a BLNR quite quickly. So if anybody wants a new BLNR, please let me know.

What AD is this? I've been told they are still tricky to get hold off and waiting lists are common?!?!

Saw the rhodium and RG yacht masters at selfridges today too in both 37 and 40mm. As well as the usual suspects.

LOL the usual suspects are everywhere. ADs all seem to have EXP2 and Milgauss multiplying lol.

Things is most UK ADs still won't discount them much if at all, as their policy is not to discount SS models. Local ADs that I know well say EXP2 and Milgauss don't even get sniffs these days yet they can't offer a decent price on them.

Completely agree with you. I just bought a polar Exp2 and the most I was offered was £150 off. Almost bought a cheap flight from Heathrow as it's always in stock but managed to get pre owned from a member here for a decent price instead.

Spoke with one Arum owned AD who effectively said he only sells Exp2/MG to Chinese tourists or people rich enough they just want one in the collection and it isn't about price.

A different AD offered me the second D-Blue they get in if I bought for MSRP.

I was at an AD I know well the other day, and they mentioned zero interest in EXP2 for a long time. A colleague then chipped into the conversation and joked that she'd nearly sold one a while back but the buyer backed out.

At that I asked if they'd take a "cheeky offer" on one and they said sadly it's directors orders to not discount SS Sports so she basically said they'd just have to sit there unsold. She said since she knows me well she'd knock something off one, but it would be a "token gesture"

It really seems that the desireable are ultra desireable and the non-desireable have zero interest. She said Daytona is laughable, BLNR are highly in demand followed closely by green and black SS Subs.

One of the ones I tried on barely had stickers still on. Probably been tried on 80x. Product date probably the year it came out at Basel. I even said if I bought I'm not having this one, I'd want a fresh one. They said it would be a week tops to get one in still in the coffin. Presumably from another store with it in the safe.

I'm surprised the explorer II and milgauss don't sell well. I have both and I wouldn't consider the BLNR for my collection.

Its interesting how the market seems to be taking the oysterflex Daytona, my local AD has a list (all be it a small list) for all colours yet other local AD and London above have sat in the window.

i literally have never seen any of the new PM OF daytonas... minus when i tried it on but that doesn't count as it was a demo model.

I went by a few AD's yesterday and didn't see.

That is central london though. Brent Cross is quite a hike.

Trafford centre Goldsmiths had the new OF Yellow Gold in the window on my last visit. I was taken by surprise with that and they had a few new DJ41 non-fluted also.

Blimey, they're stacking high on PM models. Personally I'd be steering clear of WG, just doesn't sell in the same way as RG these days

I can only imagine there is a hidden Daytona or two in the back of the safe should you wish to purchase one with a PM piece at full retail

I would love the WG on Oysterflex for summer/holidays or the RG on leather with Arabic numerals in general. Fantastic looking watches.

Ah Chris, didn't read the name as I replied. Still walking around Brent Cross while looking at my phone. No one will ever compare, I bought my BLNR from the right person but would love for you to offer me a SD4K at yesterday's prices should you ever feel that charitable.

Hope you're well.

They did have a good selection of steel sports when I last visited in March but none of the most desirable ones at that time.
