Pic Size Frustration...

Anyone else losing the "love" for the forum as a result of no longer being able to post their pics?

I'm an educated, intelligent, man and cannot figure it out....

annoying when it first occurred. I downloaded and use a free app to resize the pictures. It only takes an extra 10 seconds to resize and post.

I will find the forum much more lovable when everyone gets on board with posting images within the size guidelines.

I don't post pictures from tapatalk, but I do so from my computer.

I use Photoshop Elements and Paint to resize my images for posting.

As for posting from tapatalk, perhaps someone will post the name and link for an image resizer.

You could do a Google search for such.

I just email the pictures to myself on ios and choose a small or medium size. I understand the restriction it would be nice if the forum software resized it for us after a client side validation.

Agree completely, these large images making everything unreadable without scrolling up down left right. Even with the new policy still some persisting in using these oversized pics

Does not compute, you'll have to be more specific.

I posted my BLNR over in the GMT owner's thread a few weeks ago, and found out a little too late. If I could, I'd go and edit it.

Couldn't we get some sort of auto-resizing functionality? Would be great to get a "like" option as well (I'm easily entertained).

This would be the best option. I have been deterred from posting pics due to not having an app to resize. Yes I could get one, but then its the unnecessary steps to post the pic. It used to be much easier.

Just used tapatalk and it worked like the old days.

You might be "losing your love" for the forum but, quite frankly, I lost my love for people posting huge pictures which are not viewable without scrolling back and forth and up and down

Where/how do you store the images?

How are you uploading them?

Not tough as most every site and program allows resizing of images

I am really not a fan of external links. It takes out the fun of the WRUW thread for example.
Can't we just help pay for extra storage/bandwidth or something?

Have to agree anyone would think it was rocket science to resize a picture.Afraid today many want everything done for them. Now if some don't want to do this very simple task, the simple answer learn to do it or stop posting pictures.

Exactly even more difficult if you have to moderate the post.

Have you noticed Peter that it's almost always non pledgers that complains the most?

Whether pledge members or not, IMHO some lately on forum like to make mountains out of molehills.

I didn't think much of it but I just tried to upload a picture and they were small, and within the allowable size and filesize but then I get an error message stating that for png the images have to be 800x800. 800x800 is like 1994-resolution small.

Just did a quick and dirty grab at 800x800 PNG.

Looks like this. Not particularly small.

Pixel size along an edge has nothing to do with resolution

I think it does. Maybe resolution has nothing to do with size if you change the dpi?
